WAYLAND- There was plenty of action on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Waco High School where English Valleys, Pekin and Tri-County all participated in a well-ran event. The Bears finished eighth overall as a team with 84.5 points, Pekin took 11th scoring 56.5, and Tri-County finished last, but with only two wrestlers still was able to score 24.0 points....

SIGOURNEY- The gym was rocking on Tuesday Jan. 10 when undefeated Sigourney hosted one-loss Lynnville-Sully, and the fans on hand got their moneys worth in this one. Unfortunately, the hometown team fell just short in this game against two of the better teams in 1A Iowa basketball.           ...

ALBIA- The Lady Savages kept the good times rolling on Saturday as the topped Albia 51-33. Sigourney jumped out early in this one yet again, and were able to really decide the outcome in virtually the first half.
