Accident on Highway 92 sends one to hospital

     At 10:32 a.m., January 31, the Keokuk County Sheriff's Department along with Sigourney Police, What Cheer QRS, ambulance, fire personnel and Air care assisted in a two vehicle accident near 112th Avenue on Highway 92, approximately 3 miles west of the Highway 21 junction. According to the Iowa State Patrol report, a suburban driven by Dylan Patterson, 29, of Sigourney was traveling eastbound when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a Ram truck pulling a trailer, driven by Shawn Maine, 46, of Wapello. Both vehicles came to rest in the north side ditch. Patterson was taken by Air Care to the University of Iowa. The incident remains under investigation.
