Area Runners Compete at SICLs

Conditions were close to ideal last Thursday at Montezuma Country Club for the South Iowa Cedar League Conference Meet.

            One individual highlighted the area’s performance at SICLs, and that individual was English Valleys sophomore Hannah Greene. Greene followed up her superb freshman season by winning the SICL title as a sophomore, winning by two seconds over Lynnville-Sully’s Cori Rice, with a time of 18:35.

            Behind Greene, in 12^th place, was EV’s Taylor Gerard, who clocked in with a time of 21:19. EV’s girls’ team was rounded out by Breann Coffman, who finished 15^th with a time of 21:34, and Abby Westhoff, who placed 21^st with a time of 22:34.
