Betty G. Hooley, 89, formerly of Sigourney, and a resident of Melbourne, Fla., since 2013, died in her sleep December 30. A memorial service is planned this spring in Merritt Island. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations in Betty’s memory to: The Valley Central Education Foundation, c/o The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, 30 Scotts Corners Drive, Suite 203, Montgomery, NY 12549.
