Board of Supervisors Meeting

The Keokuk Board of Supervisors had their regular meeting Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the boardroom of the Keokuk County Courthouse. Their first order of business was to appoint Deputy Recorder, Dawn Goldman as the Keokuk County Recorder until the next regular elections in 2016, unless there is a petition submitted for elections to be held sooner. Dawn replaces Melissa Bird as Recorder after Bird submitted her resignation to accept a new position with the State of Iowa.

                In other business, the Supervisors met with County engineer who reported on the monies taken in on the sale of County equipment. Engineer Andy McGuire reported that the County took in $60,378.50 on the sale and will use that money to offset some of the costs of the new dozer that they will be purchasing.
