Board of Supervisors Meeting

                The Board of Supervisors held their weekly meeting Monday, Feb. 2, at the Keokuk County Courthouse. First on their morning agenda was the consideration and possible approval of an assistant attorney position to work along side current Keokuk County attorney John Schroeder. The Board granted Schroeder his request with the understanding that the new assistant attorney will work part time and have a yearly salary of $20,000-$30,000 based on experience.

                The decision to appoint Dixie Shipley to the Magistrate Appointing Commission was approved by the Board, along with approving the 2015 Budget Appropriations. The Board has decided to appropriate money from the General Fund to the Rural Basic Fund to help support the bridge projects throughout Keokuk County.
