Brutal Weather Doesn’t Hinder Area Girls

The string of unpredictable, often undesirable, weather continued throughout last week and reached its climax on Friday afternoon.

The girls track and field squads from English Valleys, Sigourney and Tri-County each took the ambitious trip to Brooklyn on Friday and duked it out with rain, wind and really cold temperatures.

The Bears and Trojans competed against each other in class B, finishing second and fifth, respectively. EV finished second with 60 points, behind GMG, who won the team title with an outstanding 247 points. Tri-County finished with 42 points.

Meanwhile, the Savages finished sixth out of seven teams in class A, with 41 points. BGM took first with 162.
