Carter’s Milestone Highlights Eventful Week for Savages

A lot can be accomplished in four years; Jordan Carter’s career volleyball statistics are proof of that. Carter, Sigourney’s all-time career leader in kills, recorded her 1,000^th career kill last Thursday in a win over English Valleys, giving us yet another reason to recognize her, in what has already been a stellar prep career.

            “I feel very accomplished, but I couldn’t have done this without my teammates,” Carter said about her most recent accomplishment of recording her 1,000^th kill. “It’s all because of them. This is really cool.”

            Carter, who recorded 176 kills as a freshman, 268 as a sophomore and 355 as a junior, led her Savages into Marengo last Monday to battle it out with last year’s SICL champs, Iowa Valley. The Savages, who were 7-6 overall heading into the match at Iowa Valley, gave the Tigers everything they wanted and more.
