Carter’s Milestone Highlights Eventful Week for Savages

A lot can be accomplished in four years; Jordan Carter’s career volleyball statistics are proof of that. Carter, Sigourney’s all-time career leader in kills, recorded her 1,000th career kill last Thursday in a win over English Valleys, giving us yet another reason to recognize her, in what has already been a stellar prep career.

            “I feel very accomplished, but I couldn’t have done this without my teammates,” Carter said about her most recent accomplishment of recording her 1,000th kill. “It’s all because of them. This is really cool.”

            Carter, who recorded 176 kills as a freshman, 268 as a sophomore and 355 as a junior, led her Savages into Marengo last Monday to battle it out with last year’s SICL champs, Iowa Valley. The Savages, who were 7-6 overall heading into the match at Iowa Valley, gave the Tigers everything they wanted and more.
