Cave Takes Helm of Keota Eagles’ Volleyball

30 year-old Brandi Cave has been named the new head coach of Keota’s varsity volleyball squad. Cave, who graduated from Keota High School in 2003, will replace ex-head coach Dan Stout, who is making the move to coach junior high football for Sigourney-Keota alongside Lee Crawford.

Cave, who served as Stout’s assistant for a number of years, will be joined by Jenny Hobbs to help coach the Eagles.

Keota finished with 15 wins and nine losses last season and will return five of its six starters. The team will host a scrimmage on Monday, Aug. 25, before opening up its regular season at home against Lynnville-Sully on Thursday, Sept. 11.
