Cobras Fall Short at West Branch

When you’re playing a team as good as fourth-ranked West Branch, mistake-free football is necessary if you want to pull off the upset.
The Sigourney-Keota football team made a few too many mistakes in last Wednesday’s first-round district game against unbeaten West Branch, and were unable to keep pace, falling by a score of 49-22.
The loss brought SK’s final season record to five wins and five losses.
West Branch’s impressive read-option running game, led by quarterback Lucas Lamont and running back Luke Lenoch, struck early and often in the first quarter.
