Saturday’s Mustang Invitational at Prairie City-Monroe brought a number of highly touted wrestlers to the same stage. One of those highly touted wrestlers, Trenton Conger, was a product of Al Chapman’s Pekin Panthers’ squad.

The 220-pound senior won both of his matches on Saturday to take home the title. Conger started his day with a second-period pin of Knoxville’s Brock Caviness, before pinning Pleasantville’s Ryan Bacon late in the third during the title bout.
