Dunkerton Raiders Run Past Trojans

 

            Most coaches will tell you that stopping the opponent’s running game is a big key to staying in games and, ultimately, having an opportunity to win them.

            The Tri-County varsity football team wasn’t able to contain Dunkerton’s running game on Friday and was defeated by the Raiders, 54-6.

            The loss dropped the Trojans to 1-5 on the season, while the win was Dunkerton’s first of the year (1-5).

            Dunkerton sophomore running back rushed for 117 of the team’s 281 yards on the ground and scored two touchdowns. Quarterback Lane Johnson added 88 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while adding 45 yards and two more touchdowns through the air.
