Eagles Move to 3-3 in SICL

Three games in five days was on the plate last week for the Keota girls’ basketball team; two on the road and English Valleys at home on Friday.

The Eagles returned to Belle Plaine on Tuesday for the first time since beating the Plainesmen in the playoffs last season. With Belle Plaine looking to return the favor, Keota put on its best offensive showing of the young season and it was led by Brooke Sieren. Sieren led the team with 19 points in the 50-34 win. Sieren hit six of her nine shots, including three-of-five from 3-point distance, while also grabbing eight rebounds and four steals.
