Elementary Color-A-Thon 3k Run/Walk Fundraiser

Sigourney Elementary will only be having ONE fundraiser this year. They will not be selling food or magazines like they have done in the past. Instead, on Oct. 3 they will be having a Color-A-Thon 3k run/walk for their students. The students have been collecting donations to earn fun apparel to wear the day of the run/walk.

The money raised will go towards all elementary field trips. Some of the places the students go to are the Iowa Children's Museum, Des Moines Science Center, Blank Park Zoo, Living History Farms, Herbert Hoover Museum, Iowa Hall of Pride, Community Tour of local businesses, etc. The money also goes towards the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) prizes and incentives. This includes the weekly Friday prizes, bowling, pizza parties, root beer float parties, and other fun incentives. The fundraising money also covers many more things like their math subscription to IXL.com and their Elementary Reading Night.
