Elmer M. Greiner Obituary

Elmer M. Greiner, age 78, of Keota, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at the Sigourney Health Care Center.

Elmer was born March 11, 1937, in Talleyrand, Iowa, to Bernard M. and Adella M. (Adam) Greiner and attended Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School.

 Memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with Revs. Jake Greiner, Charles Fladung and Stephen Page officiating. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Muscatine at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at the church, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Keokuk County Hospice, Keokuk County 4-H, the Knights of Columbus or Sigourney Health Care Center. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Elmer and his family. Tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
