Farm Bureau Sponsors Traveling Trophy

The Jefferson and Keokuk County Farm Bureaus have teamed up to sponsor a traveling trophy for the Skunk River Rivalry between the Pekin and Sigourney athletic programs to highlight local youths.

                The competition for the trophy began with the 2013-2014 school year and covers all athletic events when the two schools meet head to head. Both of the schools’ student athletes have a lot in common with area farmers. Hard work, attention to detail and commitment to their local communities just to name a few; and the two county Farm Bureaus believe this traveling trophy is a great way to showcase the dedication they show and serve as a reminder to future classes what they can accomplish.
