Class 1A District 6 – First Team All-District Football

 

Peyton Crawford, Junior, Sigourney-Keota – Running Back and Offensive Skilled Position MVP

In a district that included North Dakota State recruit Jake Brinkman, of Regina, SK’s Peyton Crawford was far and away the most prolific rusher. Crawford ran for 1708 yards and 22 touchdowns on only 181 attempts; an averaged of 9.4 yards per carry. The junior also caught 13 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns, while also completing 9-of-15 passes for 201 yards and two scores. Crawford also recorded 45 tackles and two interceptions at outside linebacker for the Cobras.

 

J.C. Dumont, Senior, Sigourney-Keota – Defensive Line and Defensive Line MVP

One of the leader of the strong SK defense, J.C. Dumont helped plug up the middle at defensive tackles for the Cobras all season. Dumont finished with 17.5 tackles and a fumble recovery, while occupying blocker to free up his teammates for tackles. Dumont also started on SK’s offensive line, which helped the Cobras account for 2572 yards on the ground in ten games.

 

Cole Streigle, Senior, Sigourney-Keota – Linebacker

Despite missing time with an injury, SK’s senior middle linebacker still finished fourth on the team with 39 tackles, including two for loss. Streigle also rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 35 yards, while serving as a valuable blocking fullback in SK’s dominant running game. The senior also made 85 percent of his extra point attempts, finishing 27-for-32.
