Gary L. McKay, 71, Grinnell, died on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Gary was born on September 25, 1942, in Oskaloosa, to James Lester and Dorothy Hizey McKay. He was raised in Gibson.
The funeral service was Saturday, Jan. 18, at the United Methodist Church in Grinnell. Memorials may be directed to Grinnell Regional Medical Center or to the United Presbyterian Church in Gibson and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
