Guys & Dolls Holiday Gala

            SADC is hosting their 24^th Annual $10,000 Raffle event Friday, Dec. 12 at the Keokuk County Expo. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a snack and drink bar and the Festival of Trees Silent Auction; area businesses have decorated and donated Christmas trees or wreaths that you will be able to silently bid on. On the menu for the evening will be smoked gourmet pork loin sandwich or zesty chicken and rice casserole, a baked potato bar with all of the trimmings, relish and fruit trays and a homemade dessert bar.

            There will be a best-dressed costume contest. Are you wondering where you are going to find something to wear for this event? Curtains Up in Sigourney is offering a 20% discount to anyone who wants to rent a costume for the event or a 10% discount on retail items. They are located at 100 Kramer St. next to Sinclair Tractor. Following the costume contest will be the $10,000 drawing as well as the announcement of the 2014 Star Award winner. Spike on the Mic will be present for the evening’s musical entertainment. This is an event you don’t want to miss; it could be you that walks away with $10,000.
