Keota Boys Finish Week at 2-1

The formidable stretch of opponents continued last week for the Keota varsity boys’ basketball team. This time, Montezuma showed itself last Tuesday in Keota and handed the Eagles their second-straight loss, though it didn’t come without plenty of resistance.

            Keota trailed by just one point at halftime, but failed to go blow for blow with the Braves, as Montezuma stayed unbeaten with the 61-57 win.

            After leading by one at the half, Montezuma went on a quick surge at the start of the third quarter, reeling off seven-straight points, to gain a 34-27 lead.
