Keota Splits First Two
The Keota High School girls’ basketball team was so close to starting its season at 2-0 but, unfortunately, the Eagles were edged by two points at Lynnville-Sully, after taking care of business in their opener at Tri-County.
Jenny Hobbs’ team started its season at Tri-County on Nov. 21 and stormed past the Trojans, 46-23, starting the season with a win.
The Eagles got out to a quick 15-8 lead after the first quarter, before shutting out the Trojans in the second quarter. Keota then increased its 26-8 halftime lead to 37-12 after three and played its reserves for much of the final quarter, finishing off the Trojans, 46-23.
