Lady Eagles and Trojans Sprint at Pekin

With last week’s coed meet at WACO cancelled, only the Keota girls’ track and field team competed last week. The Eagles went to Pekin for its Pantherette Relays on Thursday and ran against six other squads, including Tri-County, and finished fourth out of seven teams.

Both the Trojans and Eagles ran well in the nearly pristine conditions and had some of their best results in the individual sprints. Tri-County’s Sara Gragg earned a bronze medal in the 100-meter dash by clocking in at a time of 14.08 seconds, her fastest time of the season. Also running her best time of the year was Keota’s Brooke Sieren, who ran a time of 14.10 and placed fourth. Sieren also notched fifth place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.50 seconds.
