Local Projects Benefit from Grant Awards

The Washington County Riverboard Foundation (WCRF) held a reception for grantees at the Riverside Casino on Wednesday, May 21. Two projects from Keokuk County received grant awards:
 
• Keokuk County was granted $46,1000 to apply towards the new communication tower at the County Sheriff’s Department. Accepting the award were (left to right) Keokuk County Supervisor Michael Berg, County Engineer Andy McGuire, County Auditor Christy Bates and Supervisor Mike Hadley. • Amy McCulley and Jeff Johnson, from the Town Square Park Committee, were on hand to accept a grant for the Park in the amount of $35,000 from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.
