Loss in Wellman Drops Cobras to 2-3

Three turnovers and the inability to get Mid-Prairie’s offense off of the field did in the Sigourney-Keota football team on Friday in Wellman.

            The Cobras trailed by just six points at the half, but allowed three Mid-Prairie touchdowns in the second half to fall by a score of 38-20.

            Mid-Prairie quarterback Ryan Cortum threw for 225 yards and four touchdowns, including three in the first half, to lead the Golden Hawks (3-2) to their third-straight win.
