Love, Support, Advocate: April is Autism Awareness Month

The sixth grade class at Sigourney Elementary has hosted a ‘Celebrate Autism Party’ annually for four years, but this year the celebration on Wednesday, April 2, was bittersweet as elementary teachers and staff members will say ‘good-bye’ to this class for the Junior High School.
The class hosts the party each year in April to help raise awareness, support and advocacy for Autism. This year they sold special t-shirts and what started out as a quiet class project, quickly turned into a sale of over 150 t-shirts at the elementary and at Manor House, Sigourney.
