Maci Gambell scores 31 points to help lead Lady Panthers to victory Tuesday

PEKIN-Pekin’s super junior Maci Gambell had a tremendous night Tuesday, Jan. 31 when Pekin hosted Winfield-Mount Union. Gambell and her teammates would propel the Lady Panthers to a 57-33 victory at home.

            Gambell was 11 for 22 from the field as she also grabbed 11 rebounds. Zoey Wright added ten points and five assists for the Lady Panthers. Haley Gambell added six points and four rebounds on the night.

            Lady Panther’s head coach Davis Eidahl was very happy with his team’s performance saying, “Our offense started slow, however, our defense kept us going. We came out in the second half and picked up our scoring, as we played well on both sides of the ball.” Pekin extends their winning streak, and continues to play very good basketball late into the regular season.
