The one thing Pekin girls’ basketball head coach Davis Eidahl is the happiest about early this season is the way his team works.
“The way the girls work is what I’m the most pleased with,” Eidahl said. “They work hard for you, have a great attitude and all get along. I’ve never had a group play as hard as this one for a whole game.”  Junction. It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but the Panthers came on in the second half to pull away for the 50-33 win.
Pekin led by just one at halftime, but outscored the Warriors by eight points in each of the last two periods.
