Pekin Gets First Warmup at Pella Indoor

As crazy as it may seem, track and field is already upon us.

Pekin’s varsity and junior varsity teams were the first area squads to get real action in a meet, last Friday, when the Panthers hosted the Pella Indoor on the campus of Central College.

The Panthers, along with large contingent of other teams, shook of the rust and competed 11 different events.

Coach Davis Eidahl’s boys’ squad put on a solid showing, placing first in two events and finishing second in four more.
