Pekin girls finish runner-up at Hawk Relays

WELLMAN- The Pekin girls track team was on the road at Mid-Prairie High School Thursday, April 20, as they ran in the Mid-Prairie Girls Hawk Relays. Pekin took second place on the day, scoring 96 team points. Solon were the champions with 130 total points. There were ten schools competing in the relays, so Pekin topped eight others on the day, including Fairfield by a mere four points, and the host school by only nine.

            The Linders accounted for 36 total team points, as Emilee provided 22 and Kaylee 14. Cate Roth added 12 and Remi Duwa 9.5 points. Mackenzie Martin added seven and a half points and Ellie Ledger an even seven. Shea Dahlstrom scored six and a half and Cari Duwa totaled five and a half. Zoey Wright added four team points, while Willoh Mills brought two more. Chelsea Lanphier, Kalee Haile, Faith Goudy, Julianna Baumgartner, Kira Smith and Hunter Lock all added one point apiece.
