Pekin girls get back on track at Winfield-Mount Union

WINFIELD- The Lady Panthers used a 32-13 run in the second and third quarters combined to do away with Winfield-Mount Union on the road Tuesday, Dec. 20. The girls ended up coming away with a 55-32 victory. Pekin moves to 4-3 with the win.

            Maci Gambell was terrific once again for Pekin scoring 19 points on eight of ten shooting from the field. Maci also corralled 16 rebounds, snatched four steals, a block and an assist. Haley Gambell was second in scoring for the Lady Panthers with 12 points; she also had six rebounds and three assists. Zoey Wright added eight points and two assists to go with three steals. Faith Oostra added eight points and eight rebounds on the evening.
