Pekin Stomps Lone Tree in Opener

In what should be an exciting 2014-15 season, the Pekin varsity girls’ basketball team started it with an impressive win over a conference foe.

            The Panthers took down Lone Tree last week, 63-30, and started their season with a win.

            “We got off to a slow start, but once we started running we turned the game around,” said head coach Davis Eidahl.

            “Our bench did a great job,” he added. “They came in, got things going and gave us a spark. We are able to play nine girls in our rotation.”
