Pekin Track Flexes Depth

Both the Pekin boys’ and girls’ track and field teams have started their seasons in incredibly impressive fashions and it continued last week.
Both squads traveled to Bloomfield on Monday to take part in the Dennis Anderson Relays at Davis County. The Pekin boys outscored second-place Cardinal, 168 to 103, to win the team title. Meanwhile, Pekin’s girls scored 196 points to cruise to a first-place finish.
Following their dominance at Davis County, the Pekin boys hosted the Panther Invitational on Thursday, April 10. With the nine-team field split into two classes, the Panthers had no problems winning their second meet of the week. “A small meet is nice for all teams,” Eidahl said about Thursday’s meet at Pekin. “Everyone runs, everyone medals, and everyone gets to run two or three events.”
