Savage Golfers Surging

With meets getting rained out left and right so far this season, the Sigourney golfers haven’t had many opportunities to prove themselves. However, when the Savages have competed, they’ve competed at a high level.

On Thursday, April 17, the Savages went to Montezuma and came home with some great individual performances on both the girls’ and boys’ side. Because the Montezuma girls’ team fielded only three golfers, the Sigourney girls got the automatic team win, as their top four finished with a cumulative score of 210. Leading the charge for the Savages at Montezuma was junior Brooke Schroeder, who earned Medalist honors with a 49. Not far behind Schroeder, with a 51, was Kendall Streigle. Katie Dillon Was Sigourney’s third best at Montezuma with a 54 and Stacy Mohr finished with a 56.
