Savages Sprint at IV and L-S

Coach Jared Jensen’s boys began their week at Iowa Valley’s Ruth Ahrens Invite on Tuesday and finished sixth out of eight teams in their class, with 43 points.

The Savages’ top finisher in Marengo came in the form of sophomore Bryce Goldman. Goldman broke through with a career best distance of 20’1.5’’ in the long jump to win it. Avery Moore also placed well, finishing in fifth with a mark of 18’5’’.

Goldman and Moore made up two legs of Sigourney’s impressive 4x100 relay on Tuesday. Goldman and Moore, along with Peyton Crawford and Jordan Albert, clocked in with a time of 47.39 seconds to place second, behind only Belle Plaine (45.44).
