Savages Win Thriller, Stay Unbeaten

Coming into the season, the Montezuma boys were looked at as one of the top contenders in the SICL and, as expected, the Braves have been proving that correct so far, posting a 7-1 mark, prior to Monday’s showdown with the unbeaten Savages, in Sigourney.

Sigourney came into the Montezuma game coming off an of 3-0 week, which the Savages took down English Valleys, Keota and Lynnville-Sully, to move their mark to 6-0.

Senior Colton Powers put the Savages on his back early on, scoring all eight of the team’s first points.
