A sea of camouflage and orange will be taking over the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA on February 28- March 2, 2014 for the Iowa Deer Classic. Attractions such as, Iowa's Biggest Buck Contest, Shed Antler Contest, Iowa Whitetail Hall of Fame, archery shooting events, celebrities, hunting exhibits and much more will bring over 20,000 hunters statewide to this yearly expo.

Hy-Vee Hall will be packed with archery equipment, hunting gear, hunting blinds, atv's, decoys, targets, outfitters, hunting land agents, videos, clothing and much more.

Industry experts and celebrities will speak on three stages all weekend ong on techniques, tricks, and tips for hunting all wildlife. Hosts of two of today’s most award winning hunting shows, Archers Choice and The Choice TV, Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo will be speaking at the Classic all weekend along with other industry experts such as Pat and Nicole Reeve, Dr. James Kroll, Jeremy Moore Chris Brackett, Mike Hunsucker and many more. Chris Brackett will also have one of the largest white deer ever harvested, on display in hisbooth.

Hunters have the opportunity to shoot in two archery competitions, the Legendary 300 and the 3D Pop-Up events. Registration information can be found at www.iowadeerclassic.com The Deer Classic is also host to the National Archery in the School Program (NASP) with over 800 Iowa high school archers on Saturday. The Mid-Iowa Turkey Calling Championship will be held on Sunday.

The DNR will be conducting listening sessions to receive input from the public about hunting season and management. There will be two opportunities to voice concerns and hear what other hunters are thinking, Saturday at 1pm and Sunday at 12:30pm.

Special kids’ activities throughout the show include: free archery range from The Iowa Bow Hunters Association and Iowa State Archery Association, free BB gun shooting, Safari Club International interactive exhibit and Bluebird house building on Saturday.

Daily Door prizes include Hoyt bows, Delta targets, Beman arrows. Chevy Trucks are the official truck of the Deer Classic and will have the Chevrolet National Truck Tour on site.
