Sigourney City Council

The Sigourney City Council met Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. at City Hall. All of the council members were present. They started with approving the agenda from the previous meeting, pulling one item because one Council member was not present to vote on that item at the last meeting.

            There was discussion about the upcoming Sigourney Elementary School Color Run and closing roads for the route. The public Safety committee met and they will not be closing E Pleasant Valley, but will have someone there to monitor the road when children are crossing. They will discuss what the route will be after they meet with administration and see how many volunteers they have along the route.

            Nuisance Notices were served to residents giving them a deadline of Oct. 31. One resident did request an extension and was told they would table the discussion until the Oct. 15 meeting.
