Sigourney hosting volleyball camps

The fall season is fast approaching and now is the chance to get ready for the upcoming volleyball season. High School girls from the Keokuk County area will have the opportunity to work and learn alongside past and current professional volleyball players and coaches when the MVP Midwest Volleyball Performance camp comes to Sigourney High School on July 23 and July 24.

                Camp will consist of individual skill work and drills in the morning starting at 9 A.M. each day and will end with scrimmages and live play in the afternoon with lunch mid-day. Camp will end at 3 P.M. each day. For those interested the fee is $75 per athlete with checks made out to Midwest Volleyball Performance. Any high school volleyball athletes from Sigourney will be given a discounted price. To find out more information visit www.midwestvolleyballperformance.com.

                Sigourney High School will be hosting its annual volleyball camp this summer beginning on August 1 and ending on August 3. The camp is open for any girls entering third through eighth grade this fall and focuses on the fundamentals of volleyball and team concepts for the junior high girls. Camp will begin at 8:30 A.M. and end at 11:30 A.M. each day.

                This is the 17th year Sigourney has offered the camp which will be run by current players and coaching staff. In addition to learning volleyball fundamentals and concepts, individual and team competitions will be held throughout the three days of camp.                 Fees are $35 per camper with checks written out to Sigourney Pride.
