Karah Appleget is quietly having a tremendous season. Through 14 games, Appleget, a senior, is averaging 9.2 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per contest.

In three games last week, Appleget averaged 12 points and 9.7 rebounds per game and was key in Sigourney’s triple-overtime win at Belle Plaine on Friday.

Along with scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against the Plainesmen, Appleget’s defensive and rebounding effort against Kameo Pope, the SICL’s second-leading scorer and top rebounder (18.9 p.p.g., 12.6 r.p.g.), was vital in the Savages’ win.
