From Sigourney to Stardom: The Journey of John Richardson

A truly meaningful song will stand the test of time. As the song ages and time goes by, the influence and impact of the song has the opportunity to grow instead of wither. Moreover, the melody and percussion will continue to evoke the same emotion, regardless of era.

The same can be said for people who are fearless enough to follow their dreams. Specifically, the same can be said for John Richardson, originally of Sigourney, now a touring drummer for country superstar Trace Adkins.

Born March 24, 1970, to Tom and Gertrude Richardson, he started drumming when he was just three years old.

“I don’t know how or why, but I just kind of gravitated towards [drumming],” he said. “My parents supported me and supported that and I’m just one of those people who has always known what they wanted to do.”
