The Sigourney-Keota wrestling team took some huge steps last week toward achieving the high level of wrestling it wants display come Sectionals in February.

The Savages dominated six duals throughout the week before putting together a solid showing at the Hudson Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.

Starting the week on Tuesday in Victor, Sigourney-Keota ran through North Mahaska, Moravia and host HLV, winning all three duals in comfortable fashion.

SK won nine-of-ten matches against North Mahaska to begin the night on Tuesday in Victor with a 60-12 win. Next the Savages won six-of-seven matches against a good Moravia squad to win the dual 57-23. SK wrapped up its Tuesday with another dominant team win, this time taking down HLV by a count of 57-9. The Savages won six-of-seven matches against the Warriors to end the night with a total of 21 wins and just three losses.
