Gladbrook Reinbeck Tournament

J.J. Cooper’s wrestling squad is working at a furious pace to meet its top potential in time for Sectionals in February. Last week the Savages took on Fort Madison and Washington in duals and competed in Gladbrook-Reinbeck’s tournament on Saturday.

Against an excellent Fort Madison team, the Savages split the 12 head-to-head match-ups.

Winning via falls were Tucker Fowler (220), Nathan Vest (106), Cole Streigle (170) and Noah Schuster (182). At heavyweight, SK’s Bryce Brown defeated Travis Fincher by a count of 15-6, while Nathan Fritz won a hard fought 4-0 decision over Trenton Johnson at 138
