Seven (yes, seven) wins for the Sigourney softball team last week upped the Savages’ win streak to eight games and has them feeling pretty good about themselves.

Now at 17-4 overall and 13-1 in SICL play, the Savages have not only won eight games in a row, they’ve won 11-straight conference games. Shelly Streigle’s team notched its seventh and eighth-straight SICL wins against BGM last Monday.

In the first of two games with the Bears, Sigourney got a dominant pitching performance from Jordan Carter. The junior allowed just a single hit and struck out eight in Sigourney’s 12-2 win.
