Talented and Gifted Students Experience City Life First Hand

The Talented and Gifted Program (TAG) from Tri-County packed their bags and set off on an adventure on Friday May 20. With 12 Jr High students, leader Dara Fisher and chaperones Jeff and Tami Foubert led the group around Chicago for 3 days on an educational tour. This trip was solely funded on fundraising from TAG students. From Junior High dances to the Walk-A-Thon, and TIP night at Neighbors Gas and Grill, the TAG students were able to raise the money to go on this trip.

While in Chicago students were able to go to the Museum of Science in Industry and see many science exhibits, enjoy Hancock Observatory where they were able to step out on the glass ledge, Adler Planetarium where they were able to experience space life, walk in downtown Chicago and view the art exhibits that are displayed throughout the city, enjoy ethnic Chicago style pizza, experience the history of Navy Pier, enjoyed the view of Buckingham fountain, as well as enjoyed a nice visit to Shedd Aquarium to study marine life.
