TC Girls Endure Brutal Stretch

Three of the SICL’s best teams met up with the Tri-County girls’ squad in the past two weeks and showed just why they’re considered three of the best.

On Tuesday, January 7, the Trojans traveled to Sully and played the then fourth-ranked (Class 1A) Lynnville-Sully Hawks.

Lynnville-Sully used double-digit scoring outputs from four different players to get the 70-32 win. After trailing by 13 after one, TC put together a tremendous second quarter that left the Trojans trailing 31-16 at the half. TC’s 14-point second quarter was highlighted by play from Ginny Schmidt, who ended the game with a team high 13 points.
