Tri-County FFA Goes Green... John Deere Green That Is

On Aug. 26th, Four of the Tri-County FFA Officers attended the Farm Progress Show near Boone, and were chosen to work at the John Deere Manufacturing display. The officers who went were; Emma Bair, Trevor Clemens,Natalie Steinke, and Abbey Hartwig.

            John Deere partnered with the Iowa FFA Foundation to hire one of the many FFA chapters in Iowa to work in their information booth each day of the show for the entire day. Students from the Tri-County FFA chapter were very excited to be chosen for this activity because they received a donation from John Deere for $1,000 in exchange for their day of service.

            In addition to the financial contribution, the officers had a great experience learning about careers for John Deere, and specifically marketing and trade shows.
