Tri-County Outmatched by HLV

HLV, the fifth-ranked team in all of 8-man, piled up close to 400 yards on the ground in its 79-6 win over Tri-County on Friday.

            The Trojans, who fell to 1-3 on the season with the loss, were unable to find the end zone on offense against the Warriors, but came up with a big play on special teams in the first quarter to give them their only points of the game. A 68-yard kickoff return in the first quarter by Jacob Bombei gave the Trojans a spark that they couldn’t maintain. Despite Bombei’s kickoff return for a touchdown, Tri-County still went into the second quarter trailing, 32-6.
