Trojans excel in short distance

Packwood - The Trojans didn’t surprise anyone when they finished near the top of several short-distance events at the Ruritan Relays on March 25. They finished in eighth place, earning 33 team points with 22 coming from the 100m and 200m dash.

Tri-County was expected to compete in the short-distance events and didn’t disappoint with three of their boys putting up speedy times. Tegon Fogle had the best run in the 100m dash among four Trojans running, finishing in third place with a time of 12.42 seconds. Right behind him was Brayden Monroe, who finished with a time of 12.54 seconds.

Monroe picked up more points in the 200m dash, taking fourth by running a time of 25.71 seconds. Another teammate of his, Aydan Bos, ran a quicker time of 24.61 seconds, the second-fastest in the field. Bos was effective off the track as well, recording 17’-11.50” in the long jump to place third.

The Trojans picked up some more points in the 800m run with Jakoby Williams placing eighth with a time of 2:31.35. Four of their speedsters joined up in the 4x200m relay and ended up running a time of 1:41.93, finishing fourth and earned another four points.
