Trojans Move to 6-5 in SICL

Losses to English Valleys and Iowa Valley last week dropped the Tri-County baseball team to an even 5-5 in conference play last week, but the Trojans battled back to above .500 in the SICL with a dominant win against Keota on Friday.

On Monday in North English the Trojans trailed English Valleys just 3-0 after four innings of play, but the Bears pulled away late to take care of business. EV scored two runs in the sixth and six in the seventh to run away with the 11-1 win. The Trojans were held to five hits on the night, including a triple by Zach Kitzman. On the mound Jake Brumbaugh gave up eight hits and four earned runs in seven innings. The junior walked five and struck out three.
