Two Tough Tests for Lady Trojans

Two of the better teams in the South Iowa Cedar League, Lynnville-Sully and Iowa Valley, squared off against Tri-County last week and showed why the two teams have a combined record of 16 wins and eight losses.

            First the Trojans traveled to Sully to take on the Hawks. Lynnville-Sully, who had won three straight matches prior to hosting Tri-County, got the better of the Trojans in the first two sets, winning each by a score of 25-12.

            L-S’s Lysandra James and Brenna Lanser each finished with 11 kills against TC, while Riley Rockwell recorded 23 assists and six aces on 20-of-20 serving. As a team, the Hawks finished with 22 aces.
